Worker dies after being hit by hit-and-run driver

The Ontario Provincial Police have taken a 32-year-old man into custody following a fatal accident in Alliston. The crash killed a 41-year-old New Tecumseth public works employee, and a female co-worker suffered serious injuries in the incident. Sources say that the two were struck while they were working on the shoulder of Victoria Street West shortly before 3 a.m. on June 20.

Pedestrian dies in Toronto 2-car accident

A Toronto two-car collision left a pedestrian dead and three people injured on Aug. 7. The pedestrian accident occurred on Yonge Street near the intersection of Cummer Avenue around 4:15 p.m. when a Dodge Charger and an Acura TSX collided. The force of the impact sent the Charger off the roadway, where it struck a 42-year-old man, fatally injuring him.

Ontario auto-pedestrian accident injures 3

Two women were hospitalized July 8 after a truck struck them as they were unloading a parked van in Barrhaven. Several people present at the scene of the auto-pedestrian accident helped one of the women after she became trapped under the truck. The 34-year-old woman who was driving the business truck that struck the pedestrians suffered an arm injury and was also taken to hospital in stable condition.
