Family seeks closure 3 years after cyclist’s fatal accident

The family of a man who was killed in a November 2012 accident in which he was on his bicycle when he was struck by a car recently gave their victim impact statements at the defendant’s hearing.The man who struck the 35-year-old male bicyclist pleaded guilty to failing to remain at the scene of an accident causing death. His sentencing is set for Jan. 12.

Advisory committee set to examine concussion dangers in youth

Head injuries in youth can lead to serious problems throughout life. Ontario politicians are taking a stand against some of the issues that come with multiple head injuries to young people. The politicians will form an advisory committee to discuss how the recommendations made by a coroner’s jury last year will be put into place.
